The Duke Undergraduate Law Review encourages undergraduates and recent college graduates from all institutions to submit research papers concerning the field of law.  We accept papers covering an expansive range of topics and intersections, not limited to neuroscience and the law, philosophy and the law, and political science and the law.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions must be double-spaced in Microsoft Word .doc or .docx format, follow Chicago style citations, and include endnotes and a Works Cited section. Although we are not strict on the length of pieces we accept, pieces will typically range from 15 to 20 pages, excluding references. Excessive length or brevity may affect acceptance.

In the document, please also include the following information:

  • Your name

  • Current email address and phone number

  • College/university and year of graduation

  • Title

  • Maximum 250-word abstract

  • Short explanation of when and why paper was initially written

If you have also submitted your piece to another publication, inform us immediately if you have been selected for publication by their team. We do not republish articles!

Applicants may submit multiple works for consideration.
